Is there any way to have pathfinding without Navigation node? [3D]

As stated above, looking for IF there is a way to have a node follow another object without using navigation, but still colliding.
The main reason I don’t want to use navigation nodes is that navmesh can be buggy, and won’t work well with some of the 3D map parts i import.
Looking for a simple follow, but still collide with other objects (walls, floor, etc.) explanation.
