I was trying to use the videoplayer node for a small project, as a damaged film effect, but the video doesn’t play and the game crashes without any errors. What could it be? I even tested the videoplayer node and the video (webm) on a clean project, but nothing.

Godot version 3.2.2

Godot 3.2.x is end-of-life, please upgrade to 3.3.4.

Hello, First of all, I want to say that I am not an expert on this matter. which player do you use? Are you trying to play with a VLC media player? I think you should try VLC. There you can play all kinds of video formats. One problem, however, is that sometimes VLC can crash. Also hopefully there won’t be any problems. If VLC crashes fix the problem from this article. Because I had the same problem with my computer. Hopefully, it will help you, and others also.

Due to maintenance difficulties, WebM support has many bugs that are unlikely to be fixed. Try using the Ogg Theora video format instead, which is more reliable but lower-quality for a given bitrate.
