Animation tutorial question

Just starting out with Godot and following the learning step by step tutorial. Currently i am at the animation page in the link below.

The tutorial calls for me to click the edit animation button, which looks like a pencil.
I do not seem to have that button. I have included a picture of the tutorial screen and my screen for comparison. any ideas ? thanks. (my button that is a pencil with a dot above it only edits individual key frames. )

This figure was about an old version of Godot engine.
That button was used to open animation editor. In the latest Godot versions the animation editor is always open.
