Is there a way to disable the automatic opening of the designated startup scene when I open a project in the editor? If that scene is big it takes ages until the editor becomes usable even if I don't actually want to change anything in that scene.

Sorry, can't open engine now, but it's probably somewhere in the editor settings

That's what I thought, too, but I can't find any such setting, maybe it's not possible.

If it's the main scene:
Projects -> Project Settings -> Application -> Run -> Main Scene

Projects -> Project Settings -> AutoLoad

In Editor -> Editor Settings -> General -> Interface -> Editor -> Update Continuosly
