How to delete materials exported from blender without affecting dependent scenes?

I would like to delete some material files that are accumulating a lot of space, but everytime I try to do so Godot shows me scenes which are dependent on these materials even though I created spacial materials for them. I think it’s tedious process to go through every scene and remove these materials, so is there another way to delete them while not crashing my project? Thanks In advance.
