Is there any plans at making a sort of "physics.simulate()" fonction in the near future?

I’m currently working on a 2d multiplayer party game using the engine and im in the need to run the physics multiple times in one frame on the server side.
However there seems to be no way of doing that right now.
I’m just wondering if theres any plans to implement that any time soon?

A few people have had that exact problem and there was even a proposal to add that functionality. I have skimmed through it and it seems like this maybe added some time in future releases of godot, but probably not godot 4.0.

There also seems to be some interesting workarounds to get some of that functionality.

You can read about all that in details here.

It’s too late to catch this act now. At the very least, it is important to be aware of the fact that such occurrences do in fact take place. I agree with what you’ve said on your blog, and I want to visit it again in the near future to look at it in more detail, so I ask that you keep up the good work. play snake
