World environment not affect specific nodes/sprite in 2D

I want my game to seem desaturated but I want my player and NPC’s to remain the normal colour. I’ve achieved the desaturation through the adjustment in the “World Environment” node, but it affects everything on screen. How could I achieve this visual effect where the player and other specific sprites to seem to be the only thing that appears ‘alive’.

If you use a world environment it will affect everything. It rather depends on what effect you want as well but one possible suggestion would be on the sprites you want to be “alive” go to the modulate on each of these sprites, click on the modulate square with the colour and click the raw on, then set all your colours to something above 1. Then in your world environment set glow to on and leave the hdr as 1, this should make those sprites glow and not any of the others.
