Godot does not recognize Nintendo Switch controller

I have a Switch controller connected to my PC and it works, but Godot does not recognize it. The appropriate buttons are attached in the input map and the script should work as well. Is there an editor/project setting I might have overlooked, or is there anyone who has/had the same problem?

Update: After starting a steam game with controller support, godot recognizes controller but it’s giving me all inputs at one for no reason
