Is there a feature request mechanism with voting system?

I took a look at the roadmap and most entries in the list seem to have been created recently. Is there a way to add older issues (features or bugs) to the roadmap?

How about a voting system, is there a way to vote for those features or bugs that one might consider to be important to add or fix?

you can report bug on github if you find.
and you can comment on a specific issue that is important if you think so.
then you can make attention for it to dev team or other contributors.
if the issue is important, dev team will add it to milestone.
