A way to subscribe to the news?

Hmm... I've never regarded RSS as a subscription alternative. Safari won't read RSS, and all feed readers for macOS I've tried are generally crappy apps, although I don't blame then since there isn't really too much to add to the experience. Thanks for taking the time to answer though, it's very much appreciated.
