howdy all,

first time posting, long time thinking on using godot for my plans of world domination. im actually a haxe coder, using kha, but have thought to use godot for more basic things and get ideas running first etc

just to ask a few simple questions about godot etc. couldnt find the answers on the forum, so thought to make a new one.

• what language does godot export to? is it c++ or a wrapped JS thing.
• how can you remove the minor splash screen with godot built applications
• there does not seem to be a ios export option for myself. there is android [i do work on mac and have a dev account]
• as far as speed etc. how does it fair to things like unity or gamemaker?
• since godot can run on most desktops and mobile. is there chance or thoughts on other platforms? no worries if not, just wondering

i did have other questions, but those have escaped in the ether, maybe another time. but these will do for now

Good to see you here. I was watching your kha tutorials. I am interested in kha but Godot seems to be simple and can quickly come up with a prototype using the editor. Also it is very easy to implement 3rd party extensions for iOS and Android. But we can’t expect a performance level similar to kha. I am also familiar with unity and openfl. If you made some unity game, you will love Godot because of the node and scene system. It is much more flexible than unity prefabs.

cheers man. i love haxe, great language. very much like JS.
well kha is great because its just like opengl and sdl, but without the crippling pains of c++

ive been meaning to use godot (and actually did use it way before version 1.0) because now it feels more grown up now. plus for main prototyping, then do conversions to kha. thats the plans. also will make games just in godot alone.

ive used unity before, which was a good and bad experience

in all honesty, it would be cool if i could use haxe with godot, i know i saw its open to things like that, so will give it a think

cool spot thanks.

im sticking to kha for my main development, because i love its pure raw sticky power
godot looks great for prototyping for now, then do conversion to kha. but will also make proper things as well with godot.

ive never been a fan of python though, so i guess this helps me
