Plugins - Is it possible to create resize handles or gizmos for custom nodes?

I’d like to be able to create a plugin node that would offer gui handles that would allow them to manipulate a vector’s data, live in the editor.

I was wondering. Does this functionality already exists to add handles and gizmos to your custom nodes? If so, would anyone be willing point me to any references, or share their ideas on how to implement such a thing?
