I have been interested in programming for a very long time. Mainly Python as I find it much easier to follow and understand. I have always had an interest in how games work, I think if you really enjoy games then this is a natural evaluation. The same goes for cartoons and animation. Some of my favourite cartoons and games are: Evil Genius, Star Trek Armada 2, Discworld 2, Star Wars: Lights of the old republic series, All Hanna-Barbera, South Park and Warner Brothers Cartoons.
